Ever been stopped in a DUI checkpoint? Ever been ripped out of your car and thrown on the ground because you dared to peacefully assert your supposedly guaranteed rights? I have. What crime had I committed that night? None. Absolutely none. I wasn’t arrested, I wasn’t charged, and I certainly never received an apology.
